Happy Halloween from Mist Technologies
There’s something in the mist tonight.
We take the season seriously here. Our browser is called Vodou, our AI is called Mystic, our logo is a phoenix rising from the ashes, and our company name is literally a spooky weather condition. We’ve basically been in costume all year.
The real monsters
The scariest things on the internet aren’t ghosts. They’re the trackers that follow you from site to site, the cookies that never leave, and the cloud servers that keep your data long after you’ve logged off.
That’s why we build the way we do.
Vodou: no trackers following you home
Vodou, our open-source desktop browser, blocks trackers and look-alike phishing domains on your device before they load. Cookies and history stay in memory by default, so they vanish when you close the browser, and your passwords live in a built-in encrypted vault. Pair it with Vodou’s private SearXNG search and there’s nothing left for anyone to haunt you with.
Download Vodou and browse without the ghosts.
Mystic: still brewing in the cauldron
Mystic, our on-premises, air-gapped AI assistant for security operations teams, is still in development. It’s built for organizations that can’t send their data to a cloud AI service: it runs on your own hardware, and your data never leaves your building. No spirits from the cloud required. We’ll share more here as it takes shape.
Happy Halloween
Hand out the candy, lock the doors, and don’t let any trackers follow you home.
